Dr. Nowlin is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston and completed his residency in head and neck surgery at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He served as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Surgery at F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Dr. Nowlin is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
